Their Talent

‘Hands in Ghana’ is a collaboration between her company and the network of Ghana manufacturers, small workshops and local people.

Ghanaian Handicrafts

Ghana is well known for its traditional crafts, in particular the colourfully partterned kente cloth, Beads, Brass, Ceramics, Jewelry and Gold.

SunSun is applying her talent for design to helping people from Ghana create different products with their traditional handicrafts. In doing so, a new dimension to international buyers is created. The long term aim is to build up more design projects to create new products in Ghana, linking these with collaborative projects in other countries.

Creating products in Ghana also creates hope for local people. By providing employment, it helps to fight poverty in a country where there is a shortage of jobs and huge inequality. We are working together to create hope for the future for them and their children.

Using the profits of the projects.

We will create different design products and  service return to Ghana 's children and people.

Ghana

Republic of Ghana.

The flag of Ghana was designed and adopted in 1957.
The black star was adopted from the flag of the Black Star Line, a shipping line incorporated by Marcus Garvey that operated from 1919 to 1922, and gives the Ghana national football team their nickname, the Black Stars.
The flag was designed by Theodosia Okoh. The red represents the blood of those who died in the country's struggle for independence from the United Kingdom, the gold represents the mineral wealth of the country, the green symbolises the country's rich forests and natural wealth, and the black star is the symbol of African emancipation.

Healthy Cities Foundation

Our Charity work has one goal. Help the weak in the society, especially mothers and to become financially self-sustaining.
    •    Sponsoring Vocational training
    •    Sponsoring acquiring work material/machines
    •    Introducing their product to market
    •    Management training.
Most of our clients don’t have anybody in their family to help them get good educational foundation,

that means they have to stop and find means of survival when they are still too young to develop skills needed for employment, or establishing an enterprise.

Our intervention is to sponsor those willing to learn a skill at a vocational school in skills that make them self-employed. Skills until now include mechanic training, sewing, beans and accessories making, vegetable gardening.

Then we sponsor them by helping them to acquire a simple machine needed (e.g. sewing machine for a tailor) to start making cloths. Could be tools to repair motor (bikes) or repair cars. So not a very big investment in tools but they can use it to earn a living. They have to pay back the cost of the tools we give once they start earning income, so there is revolving fund to help others who come on board to also acquire working capital
We introduce them to the market where they can get clients build their base to expand their income possibilities.

We give them management training. To manage their finances, business, and their strategies to grow their income possibilities.
So this is what our charities do in Ghana.

Europe we most involved in raising funds to support our work in Ghana. So we work as renewable energy consultants and the income generated is used to support the work in Ghana.
